16:2. তখন আসা প্রভুর মন্দির ও রাজপ্রাসাদ থেকে সোনা ও রূপো নিলেন এবং দম্মেশকে অরাম দেশের রাজা বিন্হদদের কাছে দূত মারফত্‌ তা পাঠালেন, ও বললেন,

16:2. Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD's temple and of the royal palace and sent it to King Ben Hadad of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

16:2. Asa responded by removing the silver and gold from the treasuries of the Temple of the LORD and the royal palace. He sent it to King Ben-hadad of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:

16:2. Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of Jehovah and of the kings house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

16:2. And Asa bringeth out silver and gold from the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and of the house of the king, and sendeth unto Ben-Hadad king of Aram, who is dwelling in Damascus, saying,

16:2. So Asa took gold and silver from the treasuries of the Lord's Temple and the king's palace. He gave it to his officials and sent them to King Ben-Hadad of Aram. Ben- Hadad was the son of Tabrimmon. Tabrimmon was the son of Hezion. Damascus was Ben-Hadad's capital city.
